I keep returning to this photo of Karen Gillan in pantyhose because the whole look lands somewhere between sharp tailoring and easy glamour. Her long red hair and bright red lip give the black blazer dress a warm, confident lift. The sheer black pantyhose catch the soft light and make her crossed legs look polished without feeling overdone. Her pose is relaxed and her expression is calm and slightly amused, while the shoes stay out of sight, leaving the focus on her posture. As a fan I am trying to look composed, but my brain keeps saying tailoring goals while my eyes quietly agree about the pantyhose. That is a photo I will happily study for a while.
